Customer Directory allows shop owners to create and manage customer information. This feature is for In-House shop use, your customer information will not be used by Xometry and is protected under Xometry Terms and Conditions.
About Customer Directory
With Customer Directory, manage all customer information on a single page (contact information, notes, documents) and associate your In-house Jobs to a Customer. This allows you to organize your Jobs, filter your Jobs by Customer, and auto-fill Customer Information for easier Job entry, and for Job Summary/Traveler pdf generation. As we continue to release features around Billing and Shipping, this directory will prove even more useful.
Creating a Customer
From the Customer Directory tab, you can click ‘Create Customer’. The only required field for adding a Customer is the unique Customer Name, but you have the option to store contact information, addresses, notes, and media.
Customer Overview
From the Customer Overview, you can view and edit all customer data as well as see all Jobs associated to the Customer.
Adding a Job to a Customer
You can create a Job from within a Customer which automatically associates the Job to the Customer or add a Customer during normal Job entry.
During Job entry, if the desired Customer doesn’t exist, you can create it for future use.
Please note, if you do not wish to store your customer to the directory, you can simply manual type the Customer Name and address as a one-off for the Job.
Filtering by Customer
You can add a Customer Name column to the Job table and filter for Jobs by Customer Name as well.
