If a Partner has capacity, they can choose to accept the job. If not, they can reject it. A machine shop in Texas, for example, is able to easily access jobs coming from Maine or California. </p><p>You are then able to choose jobs that are a good fit for your current capacity. Finally, we pay you within 20 business days of completing a job. There are no transaction or service fees and there are no commitments to take any number of jobs per month.</p><div class="blockquote"><div class="blockquote-content"><p class="blockquote-line">What type of work can I expect to receive from Xometry?</p></div></div><p>Xometry sends you jobs that match with your shop’s capabilities (as listed in your Xometry profile). The majority of jobs we send to our partners are CNC work from across the country. These jobs are typically low quantity, aluminum prototypes, but we also have a significant amount of steel, copper, brass, and plastic parts too. </p><p>Xometry’s algorithm will determine who has the right equipment and experience, and then it will sub-select a group of partners. The partners are notified that a new job is available, and the first to accept gets the job.</p><div class="blockquote"><div class="blockquote-content"><p class="blockquote-line">Who are the orders from?</p></div></div><p>You could see work from small start-ups to large Fortune 100 companies. Xometry customers include General Electric, MIT Lincoln Laboratory, NASA and the United States Army, and many more.</p><div class="blockquote"><div class="blockquote-content"><p class="blockquote-line">Does Xometry require certifications to join the Partner Network?</p></div></div><p>No, we don't require any certifications to join the Xometry Partner Network, but having them opens up more opportunities. If you do not have any certifications at the time of registering, mark the "I don't have certifications" box under the "Certifications" tab of your shop profile.</p><div class="blockquote"><div class="blockquote-content"><p class="blockquote-line">Is there an opportunity for production work?</p></div></div><p>Most of the jobs are in prototype quantities: 1-20 units of a particular line item.
