We offer ESD-safe materials directly within the Xometry Instant Quoting Engine®. These types of materials are ideal for applications involving sensitive electronic components or in hazardous environments where static discharges could pose a safety concern. We currently offer the following electrostatic dissipative material options for auto-quote:
FDM ABS-ESD7
ABS-ESD7 is available in the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D printing process, enabling you to efficiently create large parts up to 24"x36"x36" at a relatively low cost. It is a great general-purpose material with good strength and mechanical properties, such as impact resistance.
Machinable ESD Plastics
There are many polymers that have ESD additives that can be requested as a custom/other write-in on the quoting engine, some examples include:
- Acetal, ESD
- Acetal, ESD POMALUX SD-A
- Acetal, Semitron ESD 225
- Acetal, ZL 900 ESD
- Garolite G10 (FR4), ESD
- PC (Polycarbonate), ESD
- PEEK, Semitron ESD 480
- UHMW PE Tivar ESD
- UHMW PE, ESD
Sheet Cutting Plastics
Similar to CNC, many plastics can have an ESD surface coating for static dissipation. These plastics can be written in or selected under Sheet Cutting. The materials are common for conveying systems, chutes, and other material handling applications.
- UHMW PE, ESD
- Static-Dissipative PTFE
- Static-Dissipative Acrylic
- Static-Dissipative Polycarbonate
Injection Molded Plastics with ESD Additives
Injection molding offers hundreds of materials available with ESD additives for static dissipation. Here are some resin examples common for molding:
- ABS, ESD (ELIXTM ABS P2H-AT)
- ABS, ESD (Novodur P2H-AT)
- ABS, ESD (LNP STAT-KON Compound AX02747)
- PC, ESD (LEXAN FR Resin SLD3000)
- POM, ESD (LNP STAT-LOY Compound K3000Z)
- PP, ESD (Porealis PP HG313MO)
