Stereolithography (SLA) Materials
SLA materials are often engineered to mimic the properties of other materials. At Xometry, we group our SLA materials by their dominant material property or most common use case (e.g., general purpose, clear, etc.). General Purpose SLA Materials
- Accura 25: A polypropylene-like SLA material that can simulate snap-fits due to its ductility and low fatigue. Color - white.
- Accura ABS Black (SL 7820): A durable ABS-like SLA material with an exceptional black finish useful for parts designed for injection molding. Parts may have a light paint coat for a consistent black finish. Color - black.
- Formlabs Grey V5: A versatile general-purpose material delivering a strong balance of accuracy, excellent finish, and robust mechanical properties. Color - Grey.
- Formlabs White V5: A bright white general-purpose material that blends high accuracy, a smooth matte finish, and solid mechanical properties. Color - White.
Durable and Tough SLA Materials
- Accura Xtreme Grey: A tough SLA material similar to polypropylene or ABS which is widely used for snap enclosures. Color - grey.
- Accura Xtreme White: A tough SLA material similar to polypropylene or ABS which is widely used for snap enclosures. Color - white.
- Formlabs Tough 1500 V2: A resilient engineering resin that balances stiffness and compliance, offering toughness comparable to polypropylene. Color: Dark Grey.
- Formlabs Tough 2000: The strongest and stiffest grey material within Formlabs' Tough and Durable family, engineered for rugged prototyping of parts that must resist bending. Color: Dark Grey.
- Somos EvoLVe 128: An extremely durable SLA material with high versatility. Color - off white.
- Somos Taurus: An impact-resistant ABS-like material that exhibits a great balance of thermal and mechanical performance. Color - dark grey.
Clear SLA Materials
- Accura 60: A naturally transparent, PC-like material, with excellent feature resolution. Exhibits high clarity with secondary finishing. Color - translucent clear.
- Accura ClearVue: A naturally transparent, PC-like material, with excellent moisture resistance. Exhibits high clarity with secondary finishing. Color - translucent clear. A Quick-Clear finish option (second image) is available with this material for a near-transparent part.
- Formlabs Clear V5: A colorless material that balances print speed, accuracy, and high transparency. Color - translucent clear.
- Somos WaterClear Ultra 10122: A naturally transparent, PC-like material, with excellent moisture resistance. Exhibits high clarity with secondary finishing. Color - translucent clear.
- Somos Watershed XC 11122: A naturally transparent, ABS-like material, with excellent moisture resistance. Exhibits high clarity with secondary finishing. Color - translucent clear.
Highly Stiff SLA Materials
- Accura Bluestone: A ceramic composite, offering the highest stiffness of any SLA material. Ceramic-composite materials behave like porcelain. Color - faded blue.
- Formlabs Rigid 10K: This highly glass-filled material is the stiffest in Formlabs' engineering portfolio. It is ideal for industrial parts requiring high rigidity and resistance to significant loads without bending. Color: Off-white.
- Somos PerFORM: A ceramic composite, offering the highest stiffness of any SLA material. Ceramic-composite materials behave like porcelain. Color - light beige.
Specialty SLA Materials
- Formlabs High Temp: This engineering resin offers the highest heat resistance in the Formlabs portfolio, with a Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT) of 238°C @ 0.45 MPa. Color: Translucent amber.
- Formlabs ESD: A rugged engineering resin for ESD-safe parts, essential for protecting sensitive electronics in manufacturing environments. Color: Black.
