MJF Nylon 11: This material has optimal mechanical properties, with high chemical resistance, ductility, and enhanced elongation-at-break. Its pliable nature and strength mean that Nylon 11 can withstand impact, making it an excellent fit for defense, sports, and medical prosthetic applications.
MJF Nylon 12: This material offers excellent strength and stiffness, good chemical resistance, and excellent long-term consistency in material properties, making it a great general-purpose option. Parts will be matte gray and can be dyed black for a more consistent appearance.
MJF Nylon 12, Glass Filled: A Nylon 12 that has been reinforced with glass beads for increased stiffness, rigidity, and dimensional stability. It is the best option for jigs, fixtures, and structural components that require higher temperature resistance and greater load-bearing capabilities.
MJF Nylon 12, White: Offers the same functionality as our standard Nylon 12, but with a bright white base, allowing for parts to be dyed a variety of vibrant colors. This material is well-suited for prosthetics, medical components, and functional prototypes.
MJF Nylon 12, Smooth: Specially formulated to produce exceptionally smooth parts right out of the machine, this material is a cost-effective choice for highly visible end-use components. When paired with a vapor-smoothed finish, components are left with a finish rivaling that of injection-molded parts.
MJF Nylon 12, Multi-Color (CB): Enables the production of full-color 3D-printed components. Create complex multi-color assemblies with color-coding, branding, or photorealistic textures. Users who require a versatile and functional material but need to eliminate the time and cost associated with secondary painting or labeling will find great value in this option.
MJF PP: Polypropylene offers excellent chemical resistance and low moisture absorption. This makes it ideal for long-term exposure to fluids. PP is widely used across industries and applications and is typically molded. Because MJF PP is 3D printed, it allows for rapid product development and cost-effective iterations of this versatile material.
MJF TPU 88A (TPU01): This material is a thermoplastic urethane with flexibility and high tear strength. The material exhibits stiff rubber-like qualities—much like a skateboard wheel—allowing for a range of end-use applications.
MJF TPU 88A (M88A): This is a high-performance elastomer engineered for parts that must combine flexibility with high tear strength and energy return. It is the ideal choice when an application demands "rubber-like" behavior, such as shock absorption or vibration dampening.
Most MJF parts will have a matte gray appearance, which can vary from dark to light gray depending on part feature orientation. Choose Nylon 12, White for bright white parts or Nylon 12, CB for full-color capabilities.
HP Multi Jet Fusion parts can be chemically vapor-smoothed to increase mechanical properties, smooth and seal surfaces, and improve cosmetics.
