Xometry’s platform makes tracking your orders a breeze. Your dashboard allows you to view real-time line item and order statuses. Once logged in and on your dashboard, scroll down to Recent Orders
. You’ll see a snapshot of your most recent orders and their statuses. Clicking an order number will bring you to a detailed order status page for that order, which offers insights into the status of each line item on your order, shipment tracking numbers, downloadable packing lists, and more. To see a full list of your orders, click View All Orders
. Alternatively, you can visit your orders page anytime by navigating to Account > Orders
using the menu in the upper right.
If you have a Xometry Teamspace setup, you can also view the status of shared orders by visiting the team dashboard. To do so, click on the drop-down menu in the upper left of your personal dashboard and select the corresponding team. From there, you can check on team members' orders and those you’ve shared with the team.

How A Xometry Order Is Made
Before diving deeper into specific statuses, it is important to understand exactly how Xometry works. Xomery does have in-house manufacturing capabilities to fulfill certain orders, however, in most cases, we will utilize our diverse manufacturing network of suppliers to fulfill your order. Xometry integrates seamlessly with over 10,000 vetted manufacturing facilities domestically and internationally. This means our customers can dynamically scale their product development needs or product output by sending manufacturing orders to Xometry. We use our platform's powerful AI and dedicated sourcing experts to match your order with the right supplier for the job, allowing you to relax while we handle the logistics.
When you place an order with us, your order will go through a few different stages. The main stages of an order are:
- Order Review and Sourcing
- Part Production
- Inspection
- Shipping
When your order is received, it is reviewed by our DFM engineers and manufacturing experts to ensure it is set up for success. Once reviewed, we will match your parts with suitable suppliers from our network. Part production encompasses multiple steps, including sourcing raw materials, programming machines, part fabrication, and post-processing. Once your parts are manufactured, they go through final quality control checks at the Supplier's QC facility or Xometry's in-house QC facility. When a line item has passed its final inspection, it will be ready for packing and shipment to your location.

Order Statuses in Detail
Below, you will find the various statuses we assign to your order as it progresses, along with a description of each status. We will break them down according to the main stages mentioned in the section above.
Note: Xometry handles your parts and orders according to their unique requirements. Certain processes or parts may require fewer steps than others to be manufactured. Therefore, some of the statuses below may not be applicable and may not be shown for each order.
Order Review and Sourcing Statuses
- Order Review - Xometry has confirmed your order and has begun reviewing it for manufacturability and sourcing.
- Assigned to Supplier - Your order has been assigned to a supplier.
Part Production Statuses
- Materials Received - The supplier has received the materials for your parts and is preparing for production.
- Ready for Production - Your order has been prepared and is in the production queue.
- Production Started - Fabrication of your parts is underway. This status may also encompass other production-related activities, such as machine programming.
- Post-processing Started / Finishing Started - Additional post-processing steps to finish your parts have begun.
- Finishing Complete - Post-processing of your parts has been completed.
Inspection Statuses
- Shipped to Xometry - Your parts have been shipped to Xometry for inspection.
- Received by Xometry - Xometry has received your parts.
- Ready for Final Inspection - Your parts are ready for quality control to perform a final inspection.
- Inspection Started - Quality control has begun the final inspection of your parts.
- Final Inspection Passed / Complete—Your parts have passed their final inspection, and any required QC documentation has been finalized.
Shipping Statuses
- Preparing for Shipment - Your order is being packaged for shipment and awaiting pick-up by the shipping carrier.
- Shipped - The shipment has been picked up by a carrier and is in transit. You can track the shipment using the provided tracking number.
- Partially Shipped - A portion of your order has been shipped. The remainder will be shipped at a later date.
- Delivered - Your order has been delivered to its final location.
Order Holds or Status Exceptions
- On Hold - Your order has been put on hold. Contact Xometry for additional information.
- Canceled - Your order has been canceled at your request.
- RMA Processing - An RMA has been initiated and is underway.
