MFA adds an extra layer of security to your Xometry account. Instead of just using a password to log in, MFA requires you to enter a one-time code that’s sent to your email. MFA helps protect your account by ensuring that even if someone has your password, they still cannot log in without access to your email. This keeps your personal and business data secure.
Enabling MFA
To enable MFA, log in to your Xometry account and go to your Account Settings page. Underneath the “Security” section, click the toggle next to “Email MFA”.
After MFA has been enabled, you will see a confirmation message appear at the top of the page.
Note: MFA can only be enabled if you have verified your email.
Frequently Asked Questions
I haven’t received my email code
Check your spam or junk folder. Also, ensure that the email address on your account is correct. You can re-trigger the email code by clicking “Resend” at the bottom of the login panel. Note that the email can only be sent every 5 minutes.
My email code isn’t working
Double-check the code for typos. The code is also time-sensitive, so try to enter it as soon as you receive it.
What if I lose access to my email?
If you lose access to the email account you use for MFA, you’ll need to contact support@xometry.com to regain access to your Xometry account.
Can I use a different method for MFA?
Currently, Xometry only supports email-based MFA. We may introduce additional methods in the future.
How do I disable MFA?
If you wish to disable MFA, you can do so from the "Security" section in your account settings.
How do I log into the Xometry Solidworks, Autodesk, or Onshape apps if I have MFA enabled?
The Xometry Solidworks, Autodesk, and Onshape apps do not currently support MFA. If you wish to log into one of these apps, please disable MFA on your account settings page.
