For most processes, we offer multiple lead time options to fit your budget and deadlines. These are presented from slower but more affordable options to higher-cost, quick-turn ones:
Least Expensive:
This choice offers the lowest possible cost with the longest production time. Your parts may be made overseas if you've allowed it.
Standard:
Standard is the base Xometry price and lead time offering, striking a balance between speed and cost. Standard does not include additional fees for shorter lead times or a price reduction for longer lead times. Standard orders may be fulfilled domestically or internationally, depending on your Manufacturing Origin settings.
Fast/Fastest:
This is our fastest production speed and delivery date option for most processes. A fee for expediting production and prioritizing the order applies, making this a higher-cost option. Expedited parts are made domestically within our US Partner Network.
Rush:
Rush service is a premium expediting option available for qualifying CNC-machined parts, offering shipments in as little as 1 business day. Rush orders receive the highest priority and are carefully monitored by our success teams, and subsequently have the highest comparative cost among other production options. Rush orders are produced domestically.
How can I control where my order is manufactured?
You can specify manufacturing-origin guardrails in the upper-right corner of your quoting page. Simply click the drop-down below Manufacturing Origin and use the checkboxes to include or exclude specific regions. If you would like to see domestic-only pricing and lead times, uncheck the "International" box.
When I click on production speed, why do all of my parts change to that production speed?
Production speed is an order-level selection. In other words, if you choose "Fastest", all of the parts in your quote will be expedited.
What shipping speed do you use for each production option?
For most manufacturing processes, excluding tooled orders such as injection molding, we will ship via Express methods, regardless of the chosen production speed. Expedited and Rush services ship overnight, and others typically via 2-day.
You also have the option to ship via your own shipping account, which lets you select a specific shipping speed.
Free and express deliveries via Xometry assume parcel shipments to domestic addresses. Restrictions apply for freight shipments and deliveries outside the United States. Learn more in our Shipping Options Article.
Why don't I see expedited production options sometimes?
Depending on your selections and requirements, we may not be able to make parts any faster than our Standard option. Our platform will present applicable production speeds based on your unique quote details. Please reach out to your account representative or Xometry support if you'd like your lead time options to be reviewed manually.
How will ITAR or Domestic manufacturing requirements be handled?
Jobs with ITAR and domestic manufacturing requirements will continue to be manufactured by qualified partners in our US Partner Network. Manufacturing in China is not available for ITAR quotes/orders or quotes/orders with DFARS or Domestic requirements.
Does Xometry offer free shipping?

Is there a quality difference between parts that are made in the US vs parts that are made in China?
No. All Xometry parts will meet the Xometry Manufacturing Standards regardless of country of origin.
Does Xometry collect duties and tariffs?
Customers are responsible for duties and fees associated with international shipping. You can estimate duties and taxes through FedEx.
Does Xometry inspect parts from China?
All parts made in China are manufactured and inspected in accordance with Xometry's Manufacturing Standards and our Inspection & Sampling Plan.
