Non-Conformances & Rejected Parts Found Prior To Shipping
Rejected or non-conforming parts are documented and communicated based upon the inspection type selected. For Standard Inspections, Xometry may ship parts found with minor non-conformances (that cannot be reworked into compliance and are assumed to not impact the fit, form, or function of the part) for customer review. For 3D printed parts the manufacturer can attempt a rebuild if believed to be related to a manufacturing or orientation issue.
For other inspection types and any order where a Certificate of Conformance is selected, Xometry will acquire customer disposition on non-conformances for all issues that cannot be reworked into compliance prior to shipping.
