Quality Inspection Types & Requirements - Xometry's Manufacturing Community
<main> <article class="userContent"> <p>A Xometry job may require one of the following inspection types, as requested by the customer: Standard, Formal/CMM, First Article (FAIR). </p><p>Regardless of order quantity, 100% of all dimensions, attributes, dimensional locations, and print notes must be documented for the required sample size (See Statistical Sampling Table to the right).</p><div face)</li><li>Corner radii correct to model</li><li>Each face should have at least 1 feature checked for X and Y location from zero edge</li><li>Surface Roughness</li></ul><p><strong>Pictures data-id="formalcmm-inspection">Formal/CMM Inspection</h2><p><strong>Formal Inspection Report:</strong></p><p>A Formal/CMM Inspection must be completed on <strong>Partner Inspection Form</strong> right-hand side of the inspection report, in the box labeled “Sample Size”</li><li>For reporting purposes, sample results should be representative of the minimum and maximum measurements, of each dimension, of the entire sample lot</li></ul><p>A partner may choose to bubble their own drawings, but must receive prior authorization from Xometry, in order to do so.</p><p><strong>Pictures </strong>(must be up close and clearly focused):</p><ul><li>Each side of the finished part </li><li>Any hardware that was required to be installed, per the PO </li><li>Any part markings that were provided bubbled print and must include ALL dimensions and notes from the bubbled print.</em></p><h2 data-id="first-article-inspection-report-(fair)">First Article Inspection Report (FAIR)</h2><p><strong>FAIR Inspection Report: </strong></p><p>A FAIR Inspection must be completed on<strong> Partner Inspection Form AS9102 Inspection Report QA2F05</strong> and<strong> must be typed.
