A Standard Inspection VQC shall be required for your second and third jobs and may continue until you are promoted to Direct Ship status. This is will typically occur when you accept your 4th job if your PSS quality and on-time delivery score is above average.
In certain scenarios, VQC may be required on a random basis to ensure the health of the VQC process. (Failure to provide the required information or products resulting in Xometry RMAs - Customer Returns may result in VQC Inspections being instituted):
Picture Requirements (must be clearly focused):
- Pictures of each side of the part (Ex: A box would have six pictures uploaded, one for each side)
- Pictures of installed hardware, if applicable. (If side view photos show hardware, disregard additional picture requirement)
- A picture of the bag and tag, as applicable.
If print is provided, inspection results may be applied directly to the print in red ink for any dimensional characteristics. Or, inspection results may be recorded in the Partners standard inspection report format unless otherwise stated.
If a print is not provided, inspect and verify all dimensional characteristics are within tolerance. Inspection results may be recorded in the Partner standard inspection report format unless otherwise stated.
Upload all inspection results and documentation as required.
After all paperwork and pictures have been uploaded to the partner portal, you will need to email firstname.lastname@example.org to request the VQC. A Xometry Inspector will review your uploaded information. Once your uploaded information is accepted, your job will be unblocked and you will be able to ship. It is advised you have everything uploaded and have a VQC requested the day before the job is scheduled to ship. This will allow adequate time for the VQC Inspection to function as designed.
